Chlamydia trachomatis IgG (quantitative)

Chlamydia trachomatis is the most common cause of bacterial sexually transmitted diseases and is responsible for about 50% of cases of non-gonococcal urethritis in men, mucopurulent cervicitis and pelvic organ inflammation in women. The quantitative test is performed using the ELISA immunoenzymatic method, which allows to determine the concentration of antibodies present in the patient's serum.
The presence of antibodies in the IgG class indicates the presence of infection.
The quantitative test determines the amount of antibodies in the IgG class.
